Help Topic: What are the 4 levels of access for both personals and board?

This list goes from most private --->>> most access

1- Most Private

Sign up for just the personals, no groups and no board.

After personals acceptance, this is the default. We don't assume you want more access unless you say so.

2 - A Little More Access, but Still Very Private
Sign up for the personals, add group(s) to your personals profile. No board.

Since groups are interest-based, joining means access outside your demographic search options, including members outside your cities. But again, only within the personals, and only members within your same group(s). No one else, including everyone else on the internet.

3 - Moderate Access***
Sign up for the personals, add group(s) to your personals profile, and join the board. But only post in the Members Only area.

The Members Only area features the same groups in the personals. However, whatever you said in your personals profile does NOT transfer to the board.

It's another privacy thing; you can make what you say on the board less detailed than your personals profile, if you want. Or, you can include the same stuff in both, your choice.

All members who also signed up for the board can read the Members Only area and view the profiles. However, as we only grant board access to those with accepted personals profiles, this is only slightly less private than 2, above.

4 - Maximum Access***
Sign up for the personals, add group(s) to your personals profile, and join the board. Post in both the Public Area and Members Only.

Only members can post, and only members can access the Members Only area. The rest of the internet could read the Public area.
If you post something interesting in the Public Area, maybe someone new will sign up JUST to talk to YOU!

To maximize your chances of meeting new people, go Maximum Access.

Anyone with privacy concerns can scale back accordingly, yet still participate.

***By "participate," we do mean upload a photo to your board profile TOO, introduce yourself to the board with a post in whatever area you choose, then join some conversations. Again, we recommend uploading a photo to both areas.

(Otherwise, other members are much less likely to notice that you exist.)
